55 Flash Fiction Friday

-
Snow wonderful snow! Fresh, and deep and powdered. I'm ready to ski, on black diamonds I'll carve it! Don't forget to wax the skis, and sharpen the edges. I'll be first on the chairlift please. Catch me at the bottom! Sierra snow, 6 feet of fresh snow, I’m gonna go!

Apologies, to the musical Oliver, and my readers.  I'm snow blinded.

Photo: Sugar Bowl, California, above Donner Lake,  named for the early settlers of the Donnor Party who crossed the western Sierra Nevada but were stuck here and some resorted to cannibalism to survive.  Just an interesting tidbit.

  1. Don't forgo the thermals in the snow. Have happy trails down the powdery slopes. I'll wait for you in the cafe where the sane start and end that trip to the ski town.
