Sunday 160 ode to ee cummings

I saw a wind

in your eyes

evanescent thermal

on my cheeks

tossing air

in each hair

slap-stung

hissing grains

yield transient blows,

unrelenting,

waves’

sussurant wishes

  1. This is a very sensual 160, Dianne. Nice.

    Happy 4th!

  6. Hey, I know 4 out of 6 of your commenters here!

And YOU are the poet, my dear!

Note: I had to look up sussurant--GOOD word. My dict. spells it susurant...is why I had trouble finding it. NEAT WORD! YOU ROCK!

  7. Apologies...it was listed "susurrant". But actually, who gives a RF anyhow???

(Promise I won't ever do this again. After all, it was my own ignorance which started it.)

  8. Excellent poem - picked ee cummings run with and flown with it. I especially like "slap-stung/hissing grains..."
