Quiet

In the quiet
I listen for you

I reach for the filament
Through the firmament

Of course you are not there
Not really

But when I can touch It
Something moves

A vibration of
Our oscillations

Your scintillation
my conflagration

And then
in the quiet

all the unrest
has burned away.

  4. This was really neat. The image of light and life entwined...lovely!

  5. And so we light a candle to celebrate both light and darkness, togetherness and separation, sunlight and shadows... together, alone.

    This is beautiful, Diane.
