No Time

No time to write, so a favorite quote for all of my poetry friends:
-
Plato's Phaedrus : "If anyone comes to the gates of poetry and expects to become an adequate poet by acquiring expert knowledge of the subject without the Muses' madness, he will fail, and his self-controlled verses will be eclipsed by the poetry of men who have been driven out of their minds." 5. I am not sure if i believe in the idea of muse...nor do i consider myself on the gates to become an "adequate" poet -- though poetry is my love and madness gets me...and I keep writing things,

so as it goes now, I am not sure whether to join Plato or you, dear Diane...Thank God, there's place for all on this globe!

  6. Yes, as Hiruta san says, I can write not less than three verses just looking at that sky, Diane :)

whether to call it poetry is upto the reader!

  9. I love the madness of the Muse. In her grip, my heart pounds, thoughts rush upward, my fingers fly. Thank you for the quote and the reminder that poetry can't be forced.
