Friday Flash Fiction 55

-
….And All the While I’m Thinking:

Pedals
turn, turn,
while
muscles
burn, burn.

Wheels
pace, pace,
while
hearts
race, race.

Lungs
moan, moan,
while
pistoning
bones, bones.

Smiles
quirk, quirk,
while
lips
thirst, thirst.

Hands
ache, ache,
while
vistas
satiate, satiate.

Words
Pant, pant,
while
thoughts
rant, rant.

Eyes
meet, meet,
while
bodies
fleet, fleet.

  4. Where were you riding? I want to go there. Not on a bike though. This was a good poem, Di. You continually get better and better.
